Sizing Guides
The HO Syndicate Alpha is the next natural progression in tournament-style slalom skis because not all tournament skiers ski the same. The Alpha has been developed to create that older, more aggressive ski style, but in modern construction. From the core outwards, we start with HO's Superlite construction, their traditional PVC and Carbon infused core. Switching to the shape of the ski is where the Alpha begins to vary. An auto-centering rockerline allows the ski to constantly pivot back to center, automatically correcting the skier's position to make sure you're always going to have a consistent turn. A classic narrower shape gives the ski more natural aggression and edge hold than more modern skis. At the same time, a varying concave will balance and allow for greater rotation into the turn and better direction out of the turn. Topping off the Alpha is technology the HO has pioneered over the last few years. Updated carbon fibre speed skin and clean edge technology help reduce drag while also cutting weight from the ski overall.

  • Auto-centering Rockerline - An altered rockerline that sits flatter in the tip and tail rockers of the ski, creating speed and lift in the ski, allowing the ski itself to auto-correct the skier's positions, driving them back to the center of the ski to create a consistent turn basis for the skier

  • Flex Rating(1=Soft, 10=Stiff) – 8/10
  • Torsionally Stiff Flex - Reduces twist in the ski so, in high load and pressure situations, the ski will maintain its shape and hold its speed and acceleration through the finish of the turn.

  • PVC Core - A tried and true core material that has proved itself on the top end ski's for years, a high-quality material that is lighter and stiffer than its PU counterpart creating a greater feel and response in your ski.

  • Carbon Laminates – A traditional carbon laminate layer that is tried and proven adds a snappy element to your ski, driving response through your cut and turns.

  • Classic Tournament Ski Shape - A smaller imprint on the water with the reduction of the total surface area allows the ski to generate a greater and more aggressive edge hold while maintaining the ability to sit tight through turns
  • Clean Edge Tail - a tapered edge from the bottom of your back foot to the tail reduces the ski's drag by around 50%
  • Flexbody Construction - A reduced profile ski body, combined with the overall construction, gives greater torsional stability and greater response comparative to load under stress.

  • Full Rotation Tip/Tail Concave - A varying depth profile on the concave allows for the ultimate engagement between ski and water, with greater rotation into turns and overall better direction out of the turn. This happens through a deeper concave in the tip that mellows as it gets to the tail.
