Ronix created their first wakeboard in 1990. It’s run by wakeboarding enthusiasts. From their experience, they wanted more for their boards than just pretty designs, weird shapes, and a popular sponsor. Ronix focused on quality above anything else. And that’s probably why we love their wakeboards and wake surfs so much.

Sourcing their materials from 14 different countries, you’d think that that’s just plain irresponsible and a waste of money. But the wakeboards they make from these are what keeps their customers coming back for more.

The Ronix founders love riding it strong yet comfortable. And that’s what makes their boards like the Ronix Vault so loved by many. Always pushing the limits for every release unlike some we’ve seen from other brands.

There’s something about Ronix boards that just screams quality. They themselves even said that every slab of floating wood and glass is made from the technicality of engineers, the aesthetics of artists, and the detailed tweaks of professional riders.

Each wakeboard is made for a specific purpose. Take the 2022 Ronix Vault for example. Its 3-stage rockers make it easy for you to add more airtime to your jumps and the asymmetrical design keeps the body balanced even when the hips and heels are not perfectly aligned, giving more room for improvement. It’s a great board for beginners and casuals.

The Ronix Kinetik Flexbox 1 on the other hand is meant for the truly brave and high on life riders. made specifically for cable parks, this board has one of, if not the softest belly for varying flex. Its construction is made for advanced tricks, having a weird soft middle and rigid tip/tail.

Ronix builds abnormally specific use cases for riders, whether it’s the riding style, rider, rocker, flex, energy, or experience level. Would you want a board that’s a jack of all trades or a master to your very specific situation?

A wakeboarding and wakesurfing company, Ronix is all about quality. As we’ve mentioned a while ago. How much quality? Well, imagine packing 29 different features in one wakeboard, making it as light, strong, flexible, durable, and aerodynamic as possible. Ever played a video game with double jumps? You fly higher and reach farther places. Well, one of Ronix’s features is using timebombs, the ultimate core available for wakeboards, making your jumps feel much stronger.

The same can be said about the Ronix wakesurf. Putting in 8 construction elements and 4 tech-inspired improvements to achieve featherlight weight and resiliency against dings and ageing symptoms such as softening up over time.

When you’ve put in as much effort as they did to turn a seemingly simple floating piece of flat wood for surfers to ride on, it really becomes something else entirely. And the result is what a lot of wakeboarders and wakesurfers are enjoying today. Whether it’s jumping ramps on a cable park or ripping tides in the ocean, a Ronix wakeboard or Ronix wakesurf is something you’ll enjoy using.

Tweaking their gear every year, the boards and surfs get better overall control, pop offs, and comfort as the years go by.

It’s hard to pick the greatest wakeboard brand since there are so many which have incredibly high followings, quality equipment, and boards that are used by professional wakeboarders and wakesurfers. But one thing that our team can agree on is the innovation Ronix presents with their wares.

Ronix wakeboards are made to be unique from the rest. For example, they are the only water sports brand that uses a Sandwich ATR Core. This uses full sheets of wood as the exterior and sandwiches a light and reactive PVC in the middle, giving riders a better feel for the water. Kind of like how new smartphones feel like you’re touching the actual screen instead of how old phones used to be, where there’s clearly glass in between your finger and the screen.

For their Ronix wakesurf boards, a notable one would be their Koal Surface construction. By turning the Koal Technora core they use into the surface coating, it becomes super light, as durable as a wakeboard, and gives less resistance when landing.

So, are Ronix wakeboards the best in the industry? Debatable. Should you grab one for the quality, tech, and responsiveness? Absolutely!
