The 2014 Season saw one of the hardest working wakeboarders in the industry, Brad Smeele, fall to a devastating and life threatening injury. Shattering his C4 vertebrae in his back Brad has been left a quadriplegic, but as is his nature he is determined to keep moving forward and is striving for the single goal of wakeboarding again. A pioneer who's known for frequenting Ronix's private lake and building some of the unfathomable obstacles that we see throughout films and video edits, his passions behind the sport are unparalleled, and while he has the determination to be able to move again, it is time for the wakeboard community to pay forward what Brad has done for the sport and help to provide some support for Brad.
The Limited Editio Thn Ronix "Brad" boards have been built with Brad and his recovery first in mind, with part of the proceeds of the boards to go towards funding Brad's Recovery, Ronix are pushing to provide Brad with the best recovery possible. The boards consisting of varying Ronix models, the Code-21, Bandwagon ATR and Parks ATR are adorned with the limited graphics, of a gold finish while also having references to Brad's New Zealand heritage, finally all based around Brad Smeele's Foundation slogan Stay Strong Brad. The support that has been provided so far for him has been invaluable to not only him but also his family and friends.
